Davenham Out of School Club

Davenham Primary Out of school club is run by Acorn Childcare and provides after school care for aged 4-11 years.

We provide After School care for children attending Davenham Primary School from the British Legion which is situated next to the school. There is a gate between the school and the British Legion which allows a safe transfer/handover of children between school and the out of school club. The staff will pick up the children from the school and walk them across to the club.

The children meet the staff by the classroom after school finishes and they will be registered into the club.

All staff employed by Acorn Childcare Nursery have at least a level 3 qualification in childcare and 2 of which are working towards university degrees.

A breakfast of toast and cereals is provided during the before school session and a light tea is provided during the after school session, which is on a 4 weekly rota so the children have a variety of snack whilst attending the club.

Children have access to a variety of resources and activities whilst at the out of school club and the older children are encouraged to be positive role models for the younger children by helping with snack, setting up activities etc.

We offer children a safe, caring environment where they can take part in activities, crafts, physical activities or just relax and read in a quiet area.

Nursery Voucher schemes operated by an increasing number of employers can be used to pay for Out of School care. The club are not ‘open access’ and to attend the club children must be registered.
