We have a very busy month ahead of us in December at Acorn Nursery!
Tuesday 8th December 2pm – Pre-School Nativity
Wednesday 16th December – Christmas Party
Thursday 17th December – Christmas Dinner
If any of these dates are not your child’s usual booked sessions then you are able to book extra sessions which will be given on a first-come-first-served basis.
Christmas Opening Hours
We close for Christmas on Christmas Eve and we reopen at 8am on Monday 4th January.
We would like to wish all our parents, carers and children a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Hats and Scarves
As the weather is becoming colder, please could you bring your child in with hats, gloves and scarves as we will still be spending time outside during the day.
There is still time to order your tea towels in time for Christmas. They make great presents. Please speak to a member of staff.
Babies and First Steps
This month we are getting ready for Christmas creating beautiful things for the tree, table and a present for Mummy and Daddy.
In our cosy corner we have put up some lights, and are making some stars, moons and planets to hang from the ceiling.
We would like to welcome Idhant to Acorn Nursery and the First Steps room.
Throughout December we will be really busy with our Christmas crafts. There will be lots of lovely things for you to take home. To fit in with our Christmas theme our story of the month will be ‘That’s not my Santa’. Can we please remind everyone that for one of our Christmas activities we would like photos of the family that we are able to cut up. It would be great if you could these in or email them ASAP.
We would like to wish Bluebell and Snow a Happy 3rd Birthday.
Throughout December we will be busy making lots of Christmas crafts to fill our folders ready to share with our family.
Our story of the month is called ‘Betty and the Yeti’. The children will be making their own pictures from the story. These will be displayed above our carpet area.
Firstly we would like to welcome Snow and Bluebell into pre-school.
Throughout December there will be lots going on in Pre-School. The children will be practicing daily for our Christmas Nativity and I am sure that your child will be practicing singing their songs at home.
We will also be making lots of Christmas crafts including our calendars, party hats and many more surprises. The children will be able to wear their Christmas hats to the party and our Christmas lunch.
Throughout December we will also be focussing on our topic of the month ‘seasons’.
Lastly, we would like to welcome ‘Elfy’ the elf who will be coming to visit us daily until Christmas from the North Pole. Elfy will be leaving us different surprises in the room each day.
