The safety of the children in our care is of paramount importance.
Children should be handed over by parents/carers to a member of staff in the child's nursery room.
We will not hand back a child to anyone other than those named on the registration form (who may be asked for identification) unless previously authorised by the parent.
If a child is suffering from an infectious illness they should not attend nursery until a doctor has approved their return. The nursery reserve the right to refuse to admit a child if they consider the child to be to ill to attend. The Nursery management reserve the right to seek medical attention for a child if they consider it necessary. Any medication to be given whilst the child is at nursery will require a signed consent form from the parent. Parents are asked to inform the Nursery as soon as possible if their child will be absent. No refunds are given for absence as the place is kept open.
The Nursery provides formula feeds of all the popular brands. Any special requirements due to medical or other reasons can usually be accommodated although parents may have to provide the formula milk. You should indicate the formula on the Registration Form.
Acorn Childcare Nursery has a Policy Document on Child Protection. Parents may see this document if they wish.
Please talk to the Nursery Manager or Deputy about any concerns you may have about the nursery or the care of your child.
Normal hours are 8.00am to 6.00pm. (8.00am to 1.00pm and 1.00pm to 6.00pm for half days). Early starts from 7.00am may be possible for an additional fee.
The Nursery will be open Monday to Friday every week with the exception of Bank Holidays and between Christmas and New Year.
One months calendar notice is required to cancel your child's nursery place.
A non-refundable registration fee of 1 week's fees will be required when accepting the offer of a nursery place. This will be deducted from the first month's fees.
Fees are payable in advance on the 1st of each month.
Fees are inclusive of meals, nappies and nursery-based activities.
Siblings must attend the same sessions as the first child in order to qualify for the discount.
Extra Hours are charged at £3.50 per hour
Late collection may be subject to a charge of £5 per 15 minutes or part of 15 minutes.
Please ensure that clothing is marked with the child's name.
Parents using the car park are asked to drive very slowly on the site. Car are parked at their owners risk. Please show consideration for other road users and our neighbours when entering or leaving the Nursery.
